Still in Vegas

We're still here! So far we've slept in, wii'd it up, won $160, lost $153, been to the strip twice, seen the King's Tournament at the Excalibur, seen the water show (at night) at the Bellagio, seen the lions at the MGM, ate at the casino buffet, played room switcheroo as other family members have checked out, bought new cute clothes at H&M, been out in 109 degree weather, and discovered Bingo, while entertaining, is just not our thing.

And today? Today we are resting.

Vegas, baby!

Just landed. There are slot machines in the freaking airport!


Also it's 99 degrees right now... At 10 pm! Who knew Vegas is Palm Springs' twin sister!

Also also: Our flight had about ten people on it. We sat in the emergency exit and had all the room in the world. I will only fly at night now, because that experience was way too spoiling.

Oh, you may be asking, "Vegas! What's up with that!" Trementozzi Family Reunion 2011, that's what's up!

June.

Okay, seriously. Who believes it's already halfway through June? That's just ridiculous.

I'm knees deep in homework muck this week. The Trementozzi Family Reunion: Vegas Edition takes place next week, which happens to be my final week of Health Ed. So in order to have fun next week, all the fun is getting sucked out of this week so I can pour over education law codes (worst. assignment. ever.), write a research paper, answer silly discussion questions, etc. 

A couple of cool updates:

We've got quite a few photo shoots booked, ranging from newborns to maternity to weddings to families. We even just got our first completely non-referred wedding booked. Many of our bookings have come from our amazing friends and family who've passed the word on to more of their friends and family, and so on. Some of the connections are pretty cool. We've had old friends we don't even really know anymore pass on our info. Things are looking real good for Next to Me Studios.

Chris, as always, is super excited about our endeavors. Tonight he came home with brand new poster paper for our goals and projects pin-up. The old one was running out of space, apparently. Isn't he the cutest? He was so into hanging this thing, I was able to steal his iphone right out of this left pocket to get a shot. (For real. He had no idea I had it until I mentioned he was up for words with friends with Ryan.)

The new pin-up is very organized, with color coded Post-its. 

I love that insanely organized guy. :)

Hair.

So... I got a haircut. I think this is the shortest I've ever had it, with the exception of, you know, kindergarten.

Here are some before shots. These are just randoms I've taken using Chris' iphone, and I think they're all night shots, so the quality just isn't up to par. But it does the job.

And here's the new, lesser hair look. I didn't do much with it today, because I'm not very good at this new style yet. I thought it would be a lot easier to curl and stuff since it's so short, but it's so short that I can't really reach the back. Also, one side has stopped curling in the direction I need it to. Sigh. My hair will just never submit to me. 

But it's great washing my hair and being able to dry it so fast!

Summer time!

Man. Our summer has started off busy! We just got back from a week vacation to Monterey to visit Chris' cousins. I finished student teaching and started in on the final four classes for my credential. And at the moment we're trying to make our business explode! We've been doing many newborn and family sessions lately, but Chris has his sights set on breaking into the wedding biz. We've put together a package deal to get things rolling, and in the past day we've already got two weddings on the line! Crazy!

Excited to see what's going to happen for us in this next month. :)
